活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan),又稱(cheng)活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)炭(tan)(tan)。是(shi)(shi)黑色粉末狀或(huo)塊(kuai)狀、顆粒狀、蜂窩(wo)狀的無(wu)定形(xing)碳(tan),也有排列規整的晶體碳(tan)。活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)炭(tan)(tan)中除碳(tan)元(yuan)(yuan)素(su)外(wai),還包含兩類(lei)摻和物:一(yi)類(lei)是(shi)(shi)化(hua)(hua)學(xue)結合(he)的元(yuan)(yuan)素(su),主要是(shi)(shi)氧和氫,這些元(yuan)(yuan)素(su)是(shi)(shi)由于未(wei)完(wan)全(quan)炭(tan)(tan)化(hua)(hua)而殘留在炭(tan)(tan)中,或(huo)者在活(huo)(huo)化(hua)(hua)過程中,外(wai)來的非碳(tan)元(yuan)(yuan)素(su)與活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)炭(tan)(tan)表面(mian)化(hua)(hua)學(xue)結合(he),如用水蒸(zheng)氣活(huo)(huo)化(hua)(hua)時,活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)炭(tan)(tan)表面(mian)被氧化(hua)(hua)或(huo)水蒸(zheng)氣氧化(hua)(hua);另一(yi)類(lei)摻和物是(shi)(shi)灰分,它是(shi)(shi)活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)炭(tan)(tan)的無(wu)機(ji)部分;灰分在活(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)中易(yi)造成二(er)次污染。
活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)是(shi)(shi)一(yi)種(zhong)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)途極廣(guang)(guang)的(de)(de)工(gong)業吸附劑(ji),它是(shi)(shi)利用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)木炭、各種(zhong)果(guo)殼(ke)和優質煤等作為(wei)原(yuan)料,通過(guo)物(wu)理和化(hua)(hua)學(xue)方(fang)(fang)法對原(yuan)料進行破(po)碎、過(guo)篩、催化(hua)(hua)劑(ji)活(huo)(huo)(huo)化(hua)(hua)、漂洗、烘干和篩選(xuan)等一(yi)系(xi)列工(gong)序(xu)加(jia)工(gong)制造而成。活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)自1900年問世以來(lai),其(qi)應用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)歷程當中(zhong)經歷了兩件大事(shi),一(yi)是(shi)(shi)在(zai)20世紀20年代(dai)一(yi)次(ci)世界(jie)大戰中(zhong)被用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)于(yu)制造防(fang)毒(du)面(mian)具(ju)(ju);二是(shi)(shi)在(zai)20世紀40年代(dai)數以百(bai)計的(de)(de)自來(lai)水(shui)廠(chang)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)脫臭。活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)吸附性(xing)(xing)源于(yu)其(qi)獨特(te)的(de)(de)分子構(gou)造,活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)內(nei)部(bu)有很多孔(kong)(kong)隙(xi)(xi),每克(ke)活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)內(nei)部(bu)孔(kong)(kong)隙(xi)(xi)如果(guo)鋪展(zhan)開來(lai)可達到500~1700平(ping)方(fang)(fang)米,正是(shi)(shi)這(zhe)種(zhong)獨特(te)的(de)(de)內(nei)部(bu)構(gou)造,使(shi)得活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)具(ju)(ju)有優異的(de)(de)吸附能力,活(huo)(huo)(huo)性(xing)(xing)碳(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)應用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)非(fei)常廣(guang)(guang)泛,比如:糖的(de)(de)脫色,軍用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)防(fang)毒(du)面(mian)具(ju)(ju),香煙過(guo)濾嘴,空氣凈化(hua)(hua)器,自來(lai)水(shui)廠(chang)水(shui)處理,飲(yin)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)水(shui)凈化(hua)(hua),解毒(du),醒酒(jiu),治理放射元素污染,降低(di)土壤中(zhong)殘留農藥,調理土壤性(xing)(xing)能,治理室內(nei)甲醛(quan),蔬(shu)菜保(bao)鮮,等等。
由于原料(liao)來(lai)源、制造方(fang)法(fa)、外觀形(xing)狀和應用場(chang)合不同,活性碳的種類很多(duo),到目前為(wei)止尚無精確的統計材(cai)料(liao),大(da)約有上千個品種。
